Fair Information

The European Higher Education Fair took place on 13th and 14th November 2008 at the InterContinental THE GRAND New Delhi and attracted more than 6000 visitors. The Fair enabled students and their parents to find out more about study opportunities in Europe.

69 higher education institutions and 22 national representations from 26 European Member States participated in the Fair. Please click here to open the list of exhibitors of the EHEF New Delhi 2008.

During the fair, national representatives presented took the opportunity to introduce their respective higher education system, study opportunities and scholarship programmes. Representatives of the European Commission presented the European Union in general, the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme especially the Erasmus Mundus Masters Courses and Erasmus Mundus External Cooperation Window as well as the Erasmus Mundus Association of India.

The EHEF New Delhi 2008 is part of a series of European events in Asian countries financed by the European Commission. The implementation of the EHEF New Delhi 2008 has been assigned to a consortium lead by the European University Association (EUA) and includes DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) and Nuffic (Netherlands Organization for International Cooperation in Higher Education). The EHEF New Delhi 2008 is part of the EU funded EU-Asia Higher Education Platform project.

Participation in EHEF New Delhi cost EUR 1.000 per exhibitor, which included:

• approximately 6 squaremetres of exhibition space for two days: 13th - 14th November 2008;
• a standard booth (approx. 3mx 2m with fascia board and surrounding walls);
• basic furniture and facilities in the booth (1 lockable cupboard, 2 chairs, 1 table, carpeted floor, 1 wastepaper bin, electric outlet, air-conditioning during opening hours for indoor booths, a canopy for outdoor booths, basic cleaning of general areas and general security services);
• one entry in the official EHEF catalogue.
